7 Tips that will Help you Loose Weight more Comfortably
Being a teenager and having to put up with all those extra pounds while being on a very busy everyday schedule, is not that easy. Just follow these seven tips which will help you to go through the weight loss process much easier.
1. Start exercising
In order to lose weight nicely, you need to introduce physical exercise in your diet. These exercises include everything from walking with pedometers attached to your waist, and up to taking swimming or riding lessons. Just pick out a favorite sport, something that you would enjoy doing, and stick to your schedule.
2. Fast Food with Caution
If you cannot part from your favorite fast food chain, you must change your bad habits. You are allowed to eat at the most twice a week, and choose only from the following foods:
- Grilled chicken sandwich – no French Fries and mayonnaise
- Drink mineral water, a natural juice or ice tea after your meal
- Chicken salad or Caesar’s instead of hamburgers
- Only low fat dressings- or no dressing at all
3. Learn to read the labels
If you are after eating something sweet at least read the labels first. Choose the candy bar with the lowest calories (go for a Bounty with 200 calories instead of a Yorkie which has 300). By continuously checking the labels on different products you will become a cautious consumer, and this will stay with you for the following adult years as well.
4. Never follow the wrong model
You are not a girl walking on the catwalk, but you are a teenager who must have plenty of energy to learn in school and to focus on important tasks that are age related. Do not let yourself influenced by all those skinny girls appearing in magazines, whose pictures are in a proportion of at least 40% photoshopped.
5. Talk about the issue openly
The biggest mistake you can make is to hide it from your parents that you are trying to lose weight. All it takes are a few weeks of going in the wrong direction, and you might end up with serious health complications. Talk to your parents about it, and they will surely understand and offer you all the support that you need. Moreover, when they are out shopping they will know better what kinds of foods to buy, and which ones to leave out.
6. Don’t expect a miracle
Everything that is good, takes a while to be built up. Therefore, do not expect that you will lose a lot of weight after one week. It is important to be constant, to keep to your schedule and to eat diversified. Drink plenty of water to hydrate properly, and you will see that if you feel good, your pounds will also slowly vanish.
7. Think positive
If you are trying to lose weight with a very sad overall mood, and a bad disposition, you will not succeed. All you will manage is to keep to your diet throughout the day, and then in the evenings open your secret drawer containing all those chocolate bars and candies, and eat until you feel saturated. This is not at all healthy, and will not help you lose weight. Think positive, because the results will definitely show!
